New Year's Eve Masquerade Ball

NOTE: BALL IS AT A DIFFERENT LOCATION THAN WE NORMALLY HAVE LESSONS

• This is the most formal ball of the year.  Heavy hors d'oeuvres with dancing .  Girls will wear tea-length or floor-length gowns.  Boys will wear shirt, tie, and suit coat.

• Time: 6:00pm - 12:00am
• Location: Peace Lutheran Church

• Dress:
  • Girls:
    • Dress: Formal: Tea-length or floor-length gown.  NOTE: KNEE-LENGTH IS NOT FORMAL.
    • No plunging necklines. 
    • No strapless dresses. 
    • But dresses with straps are ok.  
    • No midriffs showing. 
    • Dallas prom code is a good start.
    • Unlike Dallas prom, we will have no adjusters at the dance.  If you come w/too much showing, you might not get in.
    • This is an opportunity to dress up in a gown or something else quite elegant.  Have fun!
    • Mask (you may take it off to dance if you wish).
  • Boys:
    • Dress: Semiformal (Coat, dress shirt, tie, slacks, dress shoes) or Formal (Tux)
    • Dallas prom code is a good start.

  • Food:
    • Heavy hors d'oeuvres.  NOT A SIT-DOWN MEAL.
    • Included in ticket price
    • Time: 6:00pm – 12:00pm
  • Cost:
    • $20 per ticket if purchased before Friday, December 25.
    • $25+/dancer after December 25.

  • Dances
    • English Country & other group Dances
      • Most of the dances will be of this variety
      • I will help match up boys and girls for these dances.
    • Ballroom dances. 
      • While all will be allowed to dance it, it is designed for older youth (and up).
  • Who’s invited:
    • Whole family: 10 years old and up.
    • Adults, too.
    • Open to homeschoolers and non-homeschoolers
  • We ask that pre-teens and younger dance with their own ages or with parents.  Parents mostly dance with your own kids or with other parents (if you plan to dance at all). The teens and older students will then be able to dance with others closer to their age.
  • Photography:
    • Included in price.
    • Single, couples, and group pictures will be taken
    • Videos also taken of dances
    • All pictures will be uploaded to Facebook or internet for your viewing. 
    • IF YOU DON”T WANT YOUR PICTURES TAKEN YOU SHOULD NOT COME.  COMING TO THE DANCE IMPLIES YOUR PERMISSION TO UPLOAD YOUR PICTURE AND VIDEO
